following improvements to our treatment facility in 2007:
- South Basin Sluice Gates Operators rehabilitated.
- Metering program. Metering encourages water
conservation and curtails unaccounted water.
- Leak Detection: To reduce non-revenue water usage

- Security cameras at all critical system’s controls
installed at the Filter Plant.
- Continuing SCADA (system monitoring and control)
upgrade at the Col. Ward Pump Station, which allows for monitoring and
remote control of all water tanks and remote pump stations.
- Additional peristaltic feed pumps replaced
diaphragm pumps at Treatment Plant: optimizing chemical addition and
eliminating wasteful siphoning.
- Filter rehabilitation: More effective filter media
and controls will increase water quality and lower its cost.
- Recirculation conduit: Reduces excessive pressure
in the distribution system, this improvement has dramatically reduced water
main breaks.
